Ant and Grasshopper
Long ago, there used to be ants and a grasshopper in a forest. Once upon a time, as the autumn season was about to end, a family of ants was busy collecting food, sticks and dry leaves.
The grasshopper was watching from a distance that the ants seemed very busy in their work. He was sunbathing nearby. A thought came to his mind and the grasshopper went there and asked the ants: “What are you doing on such a nice day!”
To this an ant replied, “We are getting ready for the cold. You should also store some food! Hearing the ant’s words, the grasshopper laughed and went away from there.
He started running after the sun and butterflies. The days passed as the ants continued grazing, while the grasshopper spent the same days in idleness!
One morning, the Grasshopper woke up to a cold morning and the ground covered with snow. The insect jumped in search of food and found nothing. He had to survive on hunger that day. Now he realized his mistake, and started thinking that the ants were right!
Moral:
We should take advantage of the opportunity while there is still time. There’s no better time than the present to prepare for your future!
