The Happy Village
Once upon a time, there was a small village nestled between green hills and a flowing river. The village was simple, with just a few houses, but it was special because everyone who lived there was happy. The people in the village were kind, hardworking, and always helped each other.
In the morning, the farmers would work together in the fields, growing fruits and vegetables. The children would play in the open fields, laughing and chasing butterflies. In the evening, the villagers gathered around a big fire, sharing stories and singing songs. There was never a day without smiles in the village.
What made the village so happy was not wealth or fancy things, but the way the people cared for one another. If one family’s crops didn’t grow well, others would share their harvest. If someone’s roof leaked, the neighbors would come to help fix it. Every person knew they could count on each other.
One day, a traveler came to the village. He had been to many places and seen big cities with tall buildings and busy people, but he had never seen a place like this. The villagers welcomed him with open arms, offering him food and a place to rest.
“Why is everyone so happy here?” the traveler asked one evening as they all sat around the fire.
An old man, wise and gentle, smiled and said, “We are happy because we live together like one big family. We don’t worry about who has more or less. Instead, we focus on kindness, sharing, and helping each other. That’s all we need.”
The traveler was amazed. In all his travels, he had never seen a place where people were so content with such simple things. He realized that true happiness didn’t come from money or big houses, but from love, friendship, and community.
After staying in the village for a few days, the traveler continued his journey. But he carried with him a valuable lesson: happiness comes from caring for others and living in peace.
The people of the village continued to live as they always had, in harmony and joy. Their secret to happiness was simple—they looked out for each other and made sure no one ever felt alone.
Moral of the story: True happiness comes from kindness, helping others, and living in harmony. When people care for each other, even the simplest life can be full of joy.
