Power of remaining united
It was a long time ago. Four friends lived in the forest. The nature of all four of them was quite different, but they were good friends and all of them used to help each other in trouble. Those four friends were- mouse, crow, deer and tortoise.
One day mouse, crow and deer were chatting under the tree. Suddenly they heard a screaming sound. It was the voice of their friend tortoise. He was trapped in the hunter’s net. Deer said- ‘Hey! What will we do now?’
Mouse said- ‘Don’t worry, I have a plan.’ All the friends together decided everything.
The deer ran towards the hunter’s path and fell down in front of him as if it was dead. Meanwhile the crow reached there and started pretending to tear the deer’s flesh. When the hunter lifted the net and moved towards the house, he saw the deer and the crow lying on the ground.
He was thrilled to see the dead deer- ‘Wow! The deer is lying dead here. Its delicious meat will be enough for many days.
He put down the turtle net and went to the deer. Just then a mouse hiding behind the bushes came and gnawed the net and freed the turtle. He walked slowly and hid behind the bushes.
When the crow saw the turtle free, it cawed loudly and flew away. The deer also got up and ran fast. The hunter was stunned to see it running away. He returned to the turtle with regret and there was nothing there except the gnawed net. The turtle was also missing. He thought- I wish I had not been so greedy.
The four friends were very happy with the success of their plan. Their plan had saved the lives of all the friends. They swore that they would remain united like this in the future too.
